Brush and Engine run a Land Rescue in the First Due
Sunday, May 8th, 2022

At 10:23Hrs, Companies 5, Rescue 2, Utility 2 (Mifflintown Hose Co. #1), EMS 22 (Lack Tuscarora EMS), and Medic 1 (Port Royal EMS) were dispatched to Tuscarora Township, in the area of 959 Noss Road for a Land Rescue. JCCC advised of a male in the woods with a broken leg. Chief 5 (B. Harrison Sr.) responded to the scene POV. Brush 5 responded shortly after dispatch with a crew of 4, Chief 5-1 (B. Harrison Jr.) in the seat. Engine 5 also responded shortly after dispatch with a crew of 3, FireFighter C. Capotosto in the seat. Due to the terrain, Chief 5 also requested UTV 1 (Friendship Fire). Rescue 2's crew and EMS were able to make access to the patient and assessed. Crews used ropes and a stokes basket to remove the patient. Once the patient was transported, Chief 5 cleared the box. Company 5 was cleared from the call at around 13:08Hrs.
